How do I add items to my inventory?
Tap the + button on the home screen. You can take a photo, scan a QR code, or enter item details manually. VaultSnap supports bulk import for large collections.
Is my data backed up?
Yes. VaultSnap syncs your inventory to iCloud automatically when you're signed in with your Apple ID. Your data is available across all your Apple devices and is restored if you reinstall the app.
How do QR codes work?
VaultSnap can generate printable QR codes for any item or storage unit. Scan a QR code later to instantly pull up that item's details, location, and history. Great for labeling boxes, bins, or storage units.
Can I export my inventory?
Yes. Go to Settings โ†’ Export to generate a PDF report of your full inventory or a filtered subset. PDF exports include photos, descriptions, values, and storage locations.
How do seasonal reminders work?
When you add an item, you can tag it with a season or occasion (e.g., "Winter," "Christmas," "Summer"). VaultSnap will send you a notification when that season approaches so you know exactly which box to pull out โ€” and where it is.
What is VaultSnap Pro? Pro
VaultSnap Pro unlocks unlimited items, unlimited storage units, PDF export, QR code generation, and seasonal reminders. Start free โ€” upgrade when you need more.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. To cancel: open Settings on your iPhone โ†’ tap your name โ†’ Subscriptions โ†’ find VaultSnap โ†’ tap Cancel Subscription. You'll continue to have Pro access until the end of your current billing period.
I found a bug. How do I report it?
Email support@vaultsnap.app with:
  1. A description of what happened
  2. Steps to reproduce it (if you can)
  3. Your iPhone model and iOS version
  4. A screenshot if helpful

How do I request a feature?
We love feature requests. Email support@vaultsnap.app with your idea and why it would help you. We read every one.
I lost my data. Can it be recovered?
If iCloud sync was enabled, your data is safe in iCloud. Reinstall VaultSnap, sign in with the same Apple ID, and your inventory will restore automatically. If you had iCloud disabled and uninstalled the app, data recovery may not be possible โ€” we recommend keeping iCloud sync on.

  1. Create your first storage unit โ€” give it a name and location (e.g., "Garage Shelf 3" or "Attic Box A")
  2. Add items โ€” take a photo, enter a description, and assign it to a storage unit
  3. Print QR codes โ€” label your physical boxes and bins so you can scan them later
  4. Search anytime โ€” find any item instantly by name, category, or storage location
  5. Export when needed โ€” generate a PDF for insurance, moving, or sharing
