1. Introduction

VaultSnap ("we," "our," or "the app") is a privacy-first storage inventory app built by Stoneking Systems. This policy explains how your data is handled when you use VaultSnap.

2. Data We Collect

VaultSnap stores the following data only on your device and in your personal iCloud account:

• Inventory data: Storage units, boxes, items, descriptions, quantities, values, tags, and custom notes you create
• Photos: Images you capture or select from your photo library to document your items
• QR codes: Generated labels you create for your boxes
• Usage timestamps: When items were last accessed (stored locally for sorting and seasonal reminders)

3. How Your Data is Stored

Local Storage: All data is stored on your iPhone or iPad using Core Data (Apple's local database framework).

iCloud Sync: If you enable iCloud, your data syncs privately across your devices using Apple's CloudKit service. This sync happens directly between your devices and your personal iCloud account — we never have access to it.

No Remote Servers: VaultSnap does not use any remote servers, databases, or backend services operated by us. Your data never leaves the Apple ecosystem.

4. What We DON'T Collect

VaultSnap is built privacy-first. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to:

• Personal identifying information (name, email, phone number, address)
• Analytics or usage tracking data
• Device identifiers (other than what iOS requires for iCloud sync)
• Location data
• Contacts or calendar access
• Browsing history or app usage patterns

No account required: VaultSnap works without any sign-up, login, or account creation. You use the app through your Apple ID and iCloud (if you choose to enable sync).

5. AI Processing

VaultSnap's AI Smart Capture feature uses Apple's Vision framework to detect objects in photos. This processing happens entirely on your device — images are never uploaded to any server for analysis.

6. Third-Party Services

VaultSnap uses the following Apple-provided services:

• iCloud (CloudKit): For optional data sync across your devices (subject to Apple's Privacy Policy)
• StoreKit: For in-app purchases (if you choose to upgrade to Premium)
• Siri & Shortcuts: For voice commands (queries stay on-device unless you use cloud-based Siri)

We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

7. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to anyone. Period.

The only way your data leaves your device is:

• When you enable iCloud sync (goes to your personal iCloud account)
• When you manually export a PDF or share content using iOS's share sheet

8. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is stored only on your device and in your iCloud account. You control retention:

• Delete items individually: Swipe to delete any item, box, or unit in the app
• Delete all data: Use the "Delete All Data" button in Settings → Advanced
• Disable iCloud sync: Turn off iCloud in Settings to stop syncing and remove cloud copies
• Uninstall the app: Deleting VaultSnap from your device removes all local data

Since we have no servers or backend, we have no data to delete on our end.

9. Children's Privacy

VaultSnap is a general-audience app suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since all data stays on the user's device, there is no server-side collection of any kind.

10. Security

Your data is protected by:

• iOS's built-in encryption (device storage is encrypted when locked)
• iCloud's end-to-end encryption for synced data (when you use iCloud)
• No network transmission of data (other than iCloud sync)

11. Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the new version in the app and update the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Your Rights

Since all your data is stored locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account:

• You own your data completely
• You can export it anytime (PDF exports)
• You can delete it anytime
• You control who sees it (it's only on your devices)
